Follow the adventures of newborn sauropod, Sofi, and her unlikely friend and protagonist, Strike, a very young allosaur, as they make their way through a hostile prehistoric environment filled with things that want to eat them.

Little baby sauropod, Sofi, awakens from her egg a few minutes earlier than her sisters and is greeted by her neighbor boys, who have just emerged from their eggs.

Sunny, their leader is very brave and adventuresome; he eventually leads them away from the Forest Nursery into dangerous territory. Where the chances of Sofi surviving are slim to none.

In the nursery Sofi would have had time to grow big slowly. Already petite, even for a sauropod, Sofi has trouble finding baby food. She has to eat a lot, or she'll die of starvation. If she doesn't grow up quickly, she won't survive the big dinosaurs' trail of a Thousand Stars.
