The idea of integration between art and architecture dates back to the discipline’s origin. The current architectural practice has lost its creativity, leading architects to design spaces reproducible worldwide called Infrastructure Spaces. Infrastructure Spaces are a soupy matrix of details and formulas that generate most of the world’s spaces. This divide between the arts and architecture has led architects to other professions for creative freedom. This thesis examines the possibility of the Architectural Profession designing a new frontier, the Metaverse, to grow back intimacy between architecture and art. The Metaverse is a decentralized space where users are fully immersed in using extended reality and interact with a computer-generated environment. In recent years the most significant influence on architecture has been the availability of technology, such as computer programming, hardware, and software. Today’s technology allows for the integration of blockchain technology, ArtificIntelligenceence, Web 3.0, and Extended Reality. The Metaverse can bring us closer to dismantling Infrastructure spaces by designing decentralized digital spaces with no restrictions and power structure.
