Paolo Potestà was born in Rome (Italy) on 28th of October 1968, were he lives and works. He is a self-taught man. He starts taking pictures when he is very young and his first works are about travel photography realized in Asia, Latin America and Middle East. In 2004 he wins the photographic contest "FEMCA CISL: Lavoro, Arti, Mestieri e Solidarietà" for single photos section and exhibits in Rome with his work "In Viaggio". In 2005 he changes his attitudes and he fucuses his attention in reportage and street photography. He attends photography stages with David Alan Harvey (MagnumPhotos) and Leonard Freed (MagnumPhotos)and in 2005 he goes to New York to attend a workshop with Ernesto Bazan. Together with the cultural association "Officine Fotografiche" he takes part to the collective exhibition "Testaccio" at the "Boutographies" festival in Montpellier (France). Now he studies photography in Rome with Salvatore Sanna and Dario De Dominicis.
