In May of 2021 I became ill following a diagnosis of vasculitis. I spent six weeks in intensive care in Guy’s Hospital London. After being discharged I was physically fragile. I struggled with making sense of what had happened to me. I had become afraid of being outside in the open and of talking to people. I decided, however difficult, to go out every day and walk somewhere, anywhere.
