This book is dedicated to Fuerteventura, or rather, to the sporting life offered by this island not far from Morocco, lying on the ocean, suspended in time, off the beaten track of mass tourism, but known and appreciated by people who prefer large spaces and silence, where only the roar of the wind and the rush of the sea can be heard. A place of peace and tranquility, of meditation, where to savor the primordial, more authentic nature: "The Neverland island", "My Place in the World”.
This island is constantly swept by the trade winds, where spring precedes summer and summer precedes spring, because there are no seasons, and the sun is a faithful and perennial companion, and that rare rainy day has the curious taste of novelty. The crystalline sea water, with its iridescent colors from emerald to turquoise to deep blue, and the beaches of powder sand in the northern part of the island (El Cotillo and Corralejo) and in the south (Playa Sotavento) attract thousands of surfers, windsurfers and kiteboarders from all over the world.
Every year in the amazing Playa Sotovento de Jandia the world championship takes place. The photos in the book were mostly taken during the 2013 Windsurfing and Kiteboarding World Cup.
