Elizabeth Anne Freeman lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born and raised in upstate New York and trained as a nurse at New York's Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. After a mission to Taiwan for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she worked as an R.N. specializing in oncology and hospice care. She traded her career in nursing to become a full-time mother and homemaker. She has been happily married for 38 years and is the mother of three daughters, two sons, and is the grandmother of eleven. When her own children were well along in their schooling, she returned to school to further her education. At the age of fifty, she received a B.A. degree in Mandarin Chinese from the University of Utah. Besides writing, her hobbies include photography, sewing, gardening, and family history research.
