This book features photographs of 30 bee species and other insects such as wasps, butterflies and beetles. All photographs were taken within a small geographical area in a Toronto east end neighbourhood. It includes essays about the different bee families and species, how they live, where they live, what kind of plants they like and how to encourage them to visit your garden. The book also recounts the author’s educational journey learning how to identify the bees.
