Born in the boroughs of New York City, I was often surrounded by a variety of sounds, cultures and a variety of people from all parts of the globe. This cesspool of humanity influenced my fondness for color and storytelling early on. My folks moved out of the city and took my siblings and I across the bridge into the suburbs of Edison New Jersey. Just 40 minutes away from Manhattan either by train or Car. Here in the suburbs awakened within me a fervent need to express my emotions through writing, which then flowed into photography. It was here where I started to experiment; drawing from the memories of my infancy in the city, to my turbulent adolescence in the suburbs - I wanted to tell a story of youth and growth through a series of Loud Whispers. And so through photography, I endeavored to compose poetry visually.
