Stephen Goddard is a lifelong student of printed art. His undergraduate work was done at Grinnell College and he attended the University of Iowa for his graduate studies. Now retired, for thirty-five years her served at the Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas, as associate director, senior curator of works on paper and professor of art history. His recent exhibitions include Trees & other Ramifications: Branches in Nature & Culture; Machine in a Void: World War I & the Graphic Arts; Cryptograph: An Exhibition for Alan Turing; and Big Botany: Conversations with the Plant World. He remains active in the arts.
