Hi! My name is Petra Alanis. I am very passionate about writing for young children. I have very fond memories of my mom reading to me as a young child, and I want parents and children all across the country to have the same wonderful experience! My two pet ducks, Sharla and Fiora, are the inspiration for my book, as they get into everything and make big messes, much like young children. They also have some quirks that make them unique, like the way they always quack at the same time every morning, and the way they tilt their heads to see things in the sky.
