I hope that my modern version of Psalms will help all who read it in their life’s journey. I wrote 40 poems for this book, one for each year David reigned as king. I hope that each can resonate with you in your personal journey. We all go through so much, but we must never forget that we have a Savior who is there every step of the way, even those steps that are in the opposite direction of where He wants us to go. I hope that my book will also inspire you to get into Psalms for yourself and discover chapters/verses that will help you as you strive after God’s heart . May we all one day gather in Heaven and dance, praise, and thank God with David himself, as we all celebrate our victory in capturing the heart of God.

D'Amonta Johnson

D'Amonta Johnson was supposed to be born in Macon, GA, but decided to come early, and was born in his family's hometown, Charlotte, NC. He spent most of his life in Macon, including staying to attend Mercer University where he got his degree in Financial Management. After graduating with his undergraduate degree, and spending all of his life in Macon, he decided to leave home and pursue his Master's degree. He attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and received his MBA in Business Analytics. He currently works for the U.S. Dept. of Defense as a Logistics Management Specialist. In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry, playing/watching/coaching sports, and traveling. His dream is to one day travel to all seven continents (five down, two to go).
