The Alberta dental association and college has avoided external reviews and fought off criticism with lawsuits and threats of disciplinary action. It's 'Old Boys Club' claims to be able to protect the public and the interests of the public while many suspect this conjoined operation has failed all stakeholders. This book compares the Alberta authority to several other dental boards and questions the attack on a whistle-blower that has exposed many holes in the system. The book ends with an actual account of an Alberta victim over-drilled by a dentist outside her licensed/registered area. Unnecessary dental treatment is not given the same priority as the perks enjoyed by insiders and their children.
