Philip studied graphic design at Norwich School of Art, but his first job was as an art director at J Walter Thompson, for clients such as Guinness, the RAF, The Guardian, Remy Martin and Kellogg's (launching Crunchy Nut Cornflakes). At BMP Young Clark Craig, he worked on brands such as BT, Volvo and Friends Provident. He became a creative Director at Craik Jones, where he worked for 11 years, on Land Rover, BT, Cable and Wireless, Orange, First Direct, and Parcelforce. In 2003 he realized one of his ambitions when he launched his own start up agency, Keevill Lee Kershaw, with clients including Nectar, Kew Gardens, Alpha Telecom and F&C. In 2006 he joined Kitcatt Nohr Digitas as creative director, working on Waitrose, John Lewis, Lexus, Toyota, Age UK and WWF. Phil has won over 30 major direct marketing and advertising awards, including DMA(UK), BDMA, John Caples, Clio, DMA (US) Echo, Engage Awards, British Television Advertising Awards, and FEDMA. He has given talks at or been involved in courses at D&AD, DMA, IDM, Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, Uni versity of London, Royal Holloway, and Kingston University. He has been asked to judge many industry awards, and in 2008 he was privileged to be invited to judge the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award. He was consequently invited to give a lecture at the Royal Geographic Society entitled 'Can Wildlife Photography ever be Art?' In 2010 he judged Campaign's Photo Awards. Over more than thirty years in the advertising industry, he has been fortunate to work with, and learn from, some of the best photographers in the business, art directing shoots around the world. He now has the opportunity to put that learning into practice. Encouraged by being chosen as a finalist in the Corbis 'Creatives behind the lens' competition, Philip decided to concentrate on his interest in photography. As a result, over the last couple of years, he has been commissioned by Kitcatt Nohr to take all the portraits and still life shots on their new website, and has shot for Waitrose, John Lewis, NS&I, RNIB, Toyota and Age UK, More Than and Libra Europe.
