As a self-taught film-maker and fine-art photographer, I have strived to celebrate both the moving and the still image while being influenced and inspired by cross-cultural artistic endeavors. My filmography includes four short films (and some commissioned films) made for Filmaka.com, a global online initiative promoted by Hollywood-based producer Deepak Nayar (Buena Vista Social Club, Sense8).

Since 2010, I have won over 30 honors at the International Photography Awards (IPA), the Prix de la Photographie Paris Awards (PX3) and the Photography Masters Cup (Color Awards).
In 2014, I established lifestyle brand Directed By Nyay which presents unique visual statements derived from my fine art photography and film sensibilities.
In 2018, I published my first photobook on Blurb, MOTION PICTURES IN POETRY which marks my first decade of photography. This book features my work based on dance photography and light painting and also includes some of my award-winning series.
