Karl Schwartz, MFA, has dedicated over forty years to the study, practice, and instruction of drawing and painting.

His formal training spans premier institutions, having earned a BA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a BFA from the Maryland Institute of Art, and an MFA from Brooklyn College.

Introduced to figure drawing at age ten alongside his father under the instruction of the Perillo brothers, Schwartz went on to be mentored by master artists including Salvatore Scarpitta and Samuel Gelber. Today, he paints and draws daily in his studio, remaining devoted to capturing the extraordinary hidden within everyday nature.
