José Velázquez (Seville, 1973) is an independent, BBC-trained documentary maker with a passion for visual anthropology. As an artist in a sadly homogenized medium dominated by commercialism and infantilized narrative, he strongly believes documentary allows us true opportunities to counteract this pernicious globalization. José holds an MA in Documentary Research for Film and Television (London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London)
