I am a volunteer for Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue in Sagaponack, New York. My book contains stories and photos of horses who were rescued from slaughter. Many people don't know about the horse slaughter industry and the abuse towards horses . I am trying to raise awareness about horse slaughter, so that we can stop this cruel treatment towards horses. The proceeds from my book will go to Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue, which will enable them to rescue horses from slaughter by paying their ransom fee before they reach the slaughterhouse.
