My mother’s gene pool was filled with creativity so every time I picked up a pen to write or a brush to a canvas I inwardly thanked her for handing down her very special genes to me.
Following in my mother’s footsteps and in my spare time I was always delving into the right side of my brain by drawing, writing poetry or acting in our local community theater.
When I started my full-time adventure of blending beautiful colors onto a canvas, it was truly the beginning of a wonderful adventure. I never stopped writing poetry but now my paintings most often inspire my poetry. if you peek at the back of some of my paintings, you just might find one of my poems.
I love painting the water flowing in a turquoise ocean or the beautiful Great Blue Heron. Our world is full of so many glorious colors and I am always hoping that my paintings and poems will bring joy to everyone who sees them.
