On his 15th birthday, he received a Kodak Brownie as a gift, which opened up a magical world of catching light on film. Under the reddish glow of a darkroom light, watching an image gradually emerged on a photographic paper while flipping it over and over in a tray of developer solution further instilled such a magic.

Many images on this website were taken on a Nikon F3 film camera with Nikkor lenses from the 80’s. Many more were taken with manual focus lenses adapted onto a 2016 Fujifilm X-T2 digital camera.

An image was taken in the hundredth of a second. Light passed through layers of glasses made from sands deposited from eons ago. Each raw image was tweaked in the Adobe Lightroom abstracted from decades old darkroom practices. Yet, each image remains as an interpretation of a reality occurred at a specific point in the spacetime and never to reoccur. A photographer's life is enriched by these moments of a shutter click to reveal the richness around.
