Lori Twiggs is an oil painter with a focus on still life. Her art is representational with a bent towards impressionism. A choreographed melody of shapes and colors gives it a soft, quiet rhythm that is easy on the eyes yet saturated with color. Eye candy with an air of sophistication.

She approaches each painting with a firm concept and follow through from start to finish. Look for concepts in each piece such as movement & space, rhythm, or color - "what can I do with red today?".

Lori begins her paintings with realism but allows herself to experiment with visible brushstrokes and playful color often veering far from the subject in front of her. The dance between brush and concept becomes obvious as she responds to the process itself.

Because our personal experiences shape the way we see and respond, what you see and feel may be entirely different from her concept all together. The question is: what do you see and feel?
