I was spawned in Tampa and have lived there my entire life. I went to law school at Florida State University. I am a civil trial lawyer and have been practicing for over 30 years.

I always loved some of the great poets –– Emerson, T.S. Elliott and Whitman –– but I never aspired to write poetry. I am in no way comparing myself to them or any other poet. I never studied poetry structure or styles, so forgive the elementary nature of my work. I would guess that most writers don't get started this late in life but as I've gotten older I have indulged in deep thought about our world. As you will read, I ask many questions and come up with very few answers. At times I'm inspired and other times I sink into despair. The rest of the time people irritate me. I hope in my lifetime I find some of the answers. If not, I hope you do in yours.
