I was born in Hallett, Oklahome, September 23, 1928. Our family lived through the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl and I have vivid memories of both. Our family moved to Oregon in 1937. I lived within easy walking distance of the Oregon coast and spend many hours walking the beaches during those years.

Later, i graduated from Coquille High School, then married and started a family. In 1952 I enrolled at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon and completed my degree in the allotted four years. I worked eight to ten hours every day I attended school. I received my Masters degree from Oregon College of Education and after that gained more than 60 hours of graduate study, most in writing.

I am widoewd since 1998. I have four children six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. I love writing, Photography, hiking, listening to classsical music and reading.
