I've led a life of varied careers, from car sales to teaching English to counseling to coaching to teaching people to handle violence, finally leading to my current position of the past eleven years as a substance abuse counselor with the Maine State Prison System. Born in Georgia, I worked my way to my present home in Maine, where I plan to stay. I was joined thirteen years ago by my former Art Teacher from Lenox School; after 30 years since her leaving the school, we reconnected to say hello. We've chosen not to say goodbye.

I've recently begun taking pictures, finding immense beauty not just in flowers in Judy's garden, but also by the intricacy found in their closer viewing through the camera lens. This book is a celebration of that beauty.
