Acerca del libro
This collection of poems by Kenneth C. Brett comes from unpublished work written primarily during the 1970's and early 1980's.
After Ken's death in April 2009, these poems were found in a desk drawer in his study in a folder titled "Poems in English".
Handwritten in faint pencil on tiny slips of note paper, his final drafts painstakingly typed on a 1960's portable typewriter, these poems are printed here exactly as Ken finished them.
At times biting, intimate, mocking, reflective, anguished, affectionate, cynical, and playful, Ken's poetry exhibits themes of nature, birds, family, loss, and an underlying sense of deep yearning and aching tenderness.
