This book is a pictorial diary of a voyage on Swan Hellenic’s cruise ship Minerva during December 2015. The voyage started Santa Cruz in the Canary Islands, and crossed the Atlantic by way of the Cape Verde Islands, the Guiana’s, and Barbados to re-position the ship for the Winter Cruise programme. It was a similar cruise to “A Tale of Two Continents”, but sailed in the opposite direction when Minerva re-positioned in Europe for the summer.
The photo-book focuses on the wildlife observed during the cruise both at sea and ashore and also includes photos of many of the interesting things and places we visited. As many of my fellow passengers will have observed, countless hours were spent on deck waiting for ‘things to happen’ and attempting to avoid too much sun whilst scanning the sea looking for worthy material to photograph. Many of Minerva’s passengers had an interest in what was in and over the sea and more so as the voyage progressed.
Previewing the book will provide the reader with an insight of some of the amazing views and species that we experienced on this wonderful voyage.
