This special edition book “Mugs and Beards” was designed specifically for Illustrator/Character Designer Brian Ajhar's. The first book in a series of books featuring Brian's drawings and paintings focusing on character design. The book was created for Brian Ajhar's exhibiting his work and appearance at CTN Expo 2013 as promotion to the animation film industry.

The book showcases some of Brian Ajhar's characters in a collection from numerous editorial, advertising and children’s book projects he has worked on.

Introduction:
Combining painterly expressions with my ideas have always been my passion. I am obsessed with textures and intuitive marks made by paint. I am fascinated by the subtlety of paint forms on paper and how that contributes to the sculpting of a character's personality. New technology has allowed me to further develop my style by giving me an up close look at how the intuitive marks and paint strokes grow into textures and subtle expressions.
