As It Is is the third and final volume of The Doors of Perception, a photographic essay series shot on medium format film. Four movements trace a single argument: from the filtered interiors of sacred architecture, through a single hinge image where both worlds meet in one frame, into the unmediated color of an ordinary autumn neighborhood — and finally, to what seeing means after the valve stops.
