Acerca del libro
Starstruck is fiction, or is it? This is the story of two women, Stella Flanagan, called Star, and Margaret Riley, whose lifelong friendship bonds them together, even when it is challenged by one man who loves them both. Can someone make something of their life when everything is stacked against them? It’s the age-old story of “people plan and God laughs.” We all know how life can intervene and complicate the best made plans, and we learn that, even with the best of intentions and the help of friends and family, life can often just get in the way.

A ‘late bloomer,’ having gone to college in her thirties to prove to her mother that she could, but also because she was an out of work single mother with no marketable skills, Carol worked as a stitcher in a clothing factory to support her two children and graduated from Plymouth State College in NH at the age of 42 with a B.A. degree in Anthropology/ Sociology, and a minor in English. Carol put off writing and had several ‘real jobs’, including as a proof reader on a small local newspaper, finally managing to end up in high tech sales and at a local Chamber of Commerce. Carol lives in Dover, NH with her Israeli husband and two cats. Now retired and a grandmother of three lovely grown girls, Carol has decided to put to pen all the lessons she’s learned from years of experience, much to the delight of her younger husband, who feels that she could, maybe, let him retire one day soon, since the cats refuse to work.
