Growing up in an Italian family in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn, I learned at a relatively young age "food was life" the vehicle through which we communicated our sentiments and played an integral part of every occasion. My creativity comes alive when I am cooking and the immediate gratification of seeing my creations come to life right before my eyes gives me a great sense of pride, which is why I decided to pursue my passion at the Culinary Institute of America.
