About the Author and Book:In the the fall of 2013 Lauren, who was at the time thirteen years old, decided to take pencil in hand and began writing a novel. Coming from a house full of artists she found herself highly encouraged by her parents to finish it and go through the entire process of self-publishing a book. The process was an adventure and it was exciting for her to try to complete a project at this scale. Along with the coaching of her mother, father, and friends she began looking for someone who could work alongside her as an editor in order to deliver a final and complete manuscript. She found an amazing talent in Emily Mogren, an illustration major at Seattle Pacific University with a knack and skill for editing prose, to be her editor. Once editing was finished she also contracted the fantasy genre illustration expertise of Abigail Platter, now a Seattle Pacific University alumni of the illustration program. Sarah Hunt, another talented and strong woman, designed the final book cover and typeset the print edition of the book. The result is an action packed first novel that was completed in the spring of 2015
