Acerca del libro
A photography book created to tell the story of firefighters working this fast moving fire, and the devastation it left behind. Published to help the Forestry Crab Feed FF Relief Fund for firefighters who lost homes in this fire.
"This is the project I’ve been working on for about a week. Sometimes in an event like the recent Valley Fire, you feel so helpless like there isn’t anything you can do to help. After the overwhelming response to my photos, I decided this is the tool that I have in my power to help and do some good. I’ve published this book of photos from the fire as a fundraiser to help the firefighters who lost their homes in the fire. 16 fire families have lost everything. Many of them were out there fighting the fire trying to save the homes of others.
The book can be bought here through an online book publishing company. Unfortunately, it’s not cheap to publish a book, but my promise is to donate the $14 per book profit to the Forestry Crab Feed Firefighter Relief fund. They are a local CALFIRE non-profit with a 501c3 that is helping these families get through the process. This non-profit is giving the families a weekly check until they run out of money.
I want to be very clear that I will not make a dime on this book, and am only doing this to hopefully raise some funds for these fire victims. I chose this venue because I know the money will go to those victims and won’t be lost in corporate shuffle. There is no guarantee that it will make very much, but I am choosing to believe that out of the 1550+ people who follow this page, some of you will be interested in this project. I know there are lots of avenues to give, but for me, this was the one that I felt I could do.
Thanks again for all those of you, who have liked, commented and even reached out to me privately. I am so grateful for your time and hope you will consider this book as a reminder for all those feelings and thoughts this event brought you."
