Kulturë is personal cookbook about reclaiming value on family and tradition. It features short chapters of my favorite family recipes as a child, living between Sarandë and my village in the mountains of Krioneri. My goal for Kulturë is to encourage readers to experience a reconnection of family relationships that I experienced while making the book. Kulturë is my first concentrated work of literature. It was created in a 15 week course for my senior thesis. The cookbook contains 22 chapters of recipes. The structure of recipes are organized by season to reflect the seasonal eating habits of locals in Albania. Each recipe is introduced with a narrative about the role that dish plays in Albanian cuisine and culture.
