Ms. Michelle Hilbert is a fifth grade teacher at Grant Elementar School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the Fall 2008 semester, Ms. Hilbert hosted a student teacher in her class. Her name is Ms. Kathy Kalt and she was graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December 2008.
Ms. Kalt invited Gary Waymire-Cooper into her classroom to do a poetry writing workshop with the students. As a result of Ms. Kalt's curriculum on poetry and Mr. Waymire-Cooper's inspiration, the young star students were finally able to brightly express their thoughts, emotions, and feelings. They twinkle bright and proud.

Gary Waymire-Cooper is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His major is Educational Studies-Youth Leadership and his minor is in Community Education.
Mr. Waymire-Cooper has had his artwork, poetry, and short story published several times in "The Phoenix", the creative arts magazine of Milwaukee Area Technical College. He had also hosted two open mike special events in the past.
Mr. Waymire-Cooper plans on going to graduate school to pursue further study in the field of Education. He wishes to continue to inspire youth to remain positive, be responsible, and embrace creativity.
