Acerca del libro
From 2005 to 2010 Bjørn Venø explored male identity through self portraiture. Venø meticulously constructed each setting, but by using free association techniques to perform what would happen in front of the camera he was able to discover images, rather than merely illustrate ideas. Venø tries to reveal all, his dreams, fears and anxieties nothing is held back.
The photographic series 'MANN' has been shown in three solo shows, London, Oslo and Malmö and several international group shows. The work has been featured in leading publications such as the Observer, Sleek and the British Journal of Photography.
